The Story...
Community Action in Social & Economic Development, also known as C.A.S.E.D., is a local not for profit agency that provides child care services in Birmingham, AL. Active Learning After services include after school care, free basketball camps and tournaments, and summer camps. We are an approved service provider by the State of Alabama and are able to accept State Child Care Resources. In efforts to ensure these services are available to underserved communities and offset the cost of these programs, C.A.S.E.D. has developed and organized the Magic City Market Place, Magiccitytshirt.com, and the Magic City Fried Chicken Festival.

The Magic City Market Place is a series of open air markets held in the Heart of Magic City at Good People Brewery, 114 14th St S Birmingham, AL 35233, on Birmingham Barron game day Saturdays. The Market occurs April through August 3-9pm.These events are free to the public. The Market Place host 31 vendors, food trucks and local performing artist showcasing their incredible art, products and services. The Magic City Market Place always occurs during the pageantry of Barron Game Days.
